Sanam
SANAM, the brilliant Lebanese sextet from Beirut, arrives at Le Périscope with a magnificent album released on Montreal’s cult label Constellation (Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Jerusalem in My Heart…). The group distills an immersive ritual music between free rock, psychedelia and traditional chants, blending kraut, post-punk and spacious textures – a dizzying sonic universe that exorcises the Arabic song through the prism of experimental rock.
