Festival Les Baroquades
Le Périscope will be welcoming the Tiggarna duo, made up of Anne-Sophie Eiselé (viola da gamba) and Colin Heller (nyckelharpa and moraharpa).
This concert goes back to the roots of traditional Swedish music. Scandinavian musical traditions have always been rich in fantasy, but there are many legends surrounding the Swedish repertoire. This music is built on a centuries-old repertoire, with melodies dating back as far as the 16th century. As with all folk music, much of the repertoire is devoted to dance, particularly the polka.
Colin and Anne-Sophie met while studying early music (baroque violin and viola da gamba) at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (CNSMDL) in 2017.
