• Borguefül
With Borguefül, her atmospheric solo piece for double bass and voice, Mélanie Loisel breathes life into a raw and raucous universe fueled by free improvisation. The language that unfolds beneath the bow strokes and drones of the double bass is the harsh and persuasive patois of the Haute-Loire region. The atmosphere of the pieces is reminiscent of traditional music, colored by contemporary, even noise-based playing and classical performance.
• She’s Analog
An experimental Italian trio that navigates between composition and improvisation, She’s Analog constructs landscapes in which jazz, electronica, minimalism, and post-rock merge into a collective fabric. The group is presenting its second album, “No longer, not yet,” released by Carton Records and Torto Editions.
• OD Bongo
OD Bongo is the meeting of Somaticae’s powerful beats and C_C’s driving grooves. Using various drum machines, the duo mixes techno, dub, noise, and industrial to immerse crowds in a bubble of frenetic bass music.
Borguefül
After spending several years working in documentary filmmaking, Mélanie Loisel now devotes herself to music. A double bassist with a primarily classical background, free improvisation has led her to explore new creative paths.
