Ar Ker + Claptrap

Tempête #9 • In partnership with Carton Records

Ar Ker

ar ker, Seb Brun’s solo for drums and electronics, is a highly personal, intimate project, linked to a writing context and a state of mind. A product of urgency and liberating expression, it unfolds a range of contrasting emotions. Side a: tenderness, reason. Side b: fury and urgency. From mellow rhythms to more raw, unstructured ones, the bewitching percussion of the augmented drums serves as a guide on paths that we can only guess are tumultuous.

Claptrap

Member of the eminent and exciting Papier Tigre and La Colonie de vacances, long hidden (or revealed) behind his folk alias The Patriotic Sunday, Éric Pasquereau is an inventive musician. For Claptrap, his latest release, he has invited Elia Guérin, Julien Chevalier (La Terre Tremble !!!) and Paul Loiseau (Borja Flames) to interpret his universe of musical exploration, somewhere between sound experimentation and chamber electronics, between Arto Lindsay and Robert Wyatt. A playful, free and adventurous take on the original pop song.
