Annabelle Brouard

Trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre, it was at France Culture and Arte Radio that she explored different approaches to radio documentaries (Traverser les forêts by J. Bordas – Les fantômes de l’hystérie by P. Chanu – Grande Traversée Louise Michel by J. Perrignon – Un podcast à soi by C. Bienaimé ).

For several years now, she and Judith Bordas have been running a series of workshops on the transmission of sound writing in children’s social welfare institutions. In 2022, they composed Échappées Sonores, a work with young girls placed in a home in Lyon.

This adventure is chronicled in the sound documentary Par elles-mêmes broadcast on France Culture. For the past 2 years, with Clémence Bucher, they have been inventing a radio duo, Mady Mono and Cléo Stéréo, for Cie Basse Fréquence. They create ephemeral radios in a wide variety of venues. The duo regularly collaborates with Le lieu Simone (Région Grand Est / Radio Simoooone).

She recently wrote and co-directed Fugueuses, histoires des femmes qui voulait partir with Judith Bordas (production Théâtre du Point du Jour, Lyon – tour in progress). In 2023, she continued her work on the borderline between radio and stage with Dis t’as pensé à éteindre la radio? co-written with Olivier Minot (radio live / production Festival Longueur d’ondes).
