Ashinoa

Ashinoa, the finest of Lyon’s krautrock scene, celebrates the release of its new album on the London-based label Fuzz Club (home to A Place To Bury Strangers, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, among others). Still driven by motorik rhythms and offbeat experimental electronics, the band now reveals moments of downtempo serenity.

Clarinets, flutes and saxophones join the party, flirting with psychedelic jazz and 1960s Brazilian music.

quelque

quelque is the solo project of Romain Vasset.

You may have come across him as one half of the electronic pop duo Belvoir, or alongside Hannah Miette and François & The Atlas Mountains. He weaves intricate sonic lace whose hypnotic patterns expand, overflow and bend a musical language shaped equally by spiritual jazz and musique concrète.

Improvised sequences recorded on expired cassette tapes and synthetic chance compositions converse with a familiar clarinet. Through it unfold heavy breaths, the damp whisper of a kiss, and dissonant spasms flickering from dense noise to piercing highs.
