ZU + De Mond + Nina Garcia

One evening, three concerts featuring:

ZU – 10 p.m.

Zu is an experimental Italian trio that has gained cult status for its ability to blur the boundaries between progressive rock, jazz, industrial music, metal, and punk. In over 25 years of activity, the Italian trio has released more than 15 albums and collaborated with figures as diverse as Mike Patton (Carboniferous), director Romeo Castellucci, and Eugene Robinson of Oxbow.

In 2026, this cult band returns with Ferrum Sidereum, a double album that continues its tradition of mixing genres. The result is a journey that is as cerebral as it is visceral, defying categorization. Composed of Paolo Mongardi (drums), Luca T. Mai (baritone saxophone, synths), and Massimo Pupillo (bass, guitar), the trio spent a year refining this 80-minute epic in Bologna.

Produced and mixed by Marc Urselli, a three-time Grammy Award-winning engineer known for his work with Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, and Mike Patton, the album strikes a balance between raw intensity and finely crafted textures.

Released on January 9, 2026, Ferrum Sidereum is Zu’s most ambitious and daring work to date, a genre-defying effort that pushes all conventional boundaries.

DE MOND – 9 p.m.

Born from the bubbling imagination of Brussels duo Stijn Wybouw and Arno De Bock, DE MOND creates a unique soundscape.

Unpredictable synths, kaleidoscopic loops and processed vocals are layered over synthetic percussion for a bewildering and mesmerising experience. Their debut album, Glow (released on Futura Resistenza), is a celebration of the Belgian underground avant-garde.

NINA GARCIA – 7 p.m. (free entrance)

Since 2015, Nina Garcia has been conducting research and creating work around the electric guitar, halfway between improvised music and noise. Her setup is minimal: a guitar, a pedal, and an amp, with which she shapes the sound and delves into chaos to bring out the unheard. Few musicians today give the impression of sounding like a black hole as much as Nina Garcia. With her guitar, pedals, found objects used as picks and a piezo microphone in hand, she plays both her instrument and the space around her. Between feedback, silences and sonic chaos, suspended and delicate moments emerge at the heart of a sound performance that becomes physical.
