Somewhere between hip-hop and contemporary jazz, the SHIBUUYA trio draws its inspiration from the American scene, where producers and musicians collaborate and merge: Butcher Brown, Kiefer, Telemakus… The result is furious grooves that you’ll want to keep spinning until the vinyl breaks, enhanced by a musicality and interplay between musicians forged from the very depths of jazz, all set against a backdrop of Japanese anime samples. The result is SHIBUUYA! blurring the boundaries between beatmaking and jazz.
