Olga Amelchenko Quartet

Touching the Invisible is the new album by saxophonist and composer Olga Amelchenko, recorded with her new quartet and due for release in October 2026 on Edition Records. For this project, Olga Amelchenko is joined by Rob Clearfield on piano and keyboards, Juan Villarroel on double bass and electric bass, and John Hadfield on drums. Saxophonist Musina Ebobissé also appears as a guest on several tracks. The music explores the space between what is known and what is yet to come — those moments of anticipation, wonder and possibility that accompany the unknown.

Driven by lyrical melodies, rich harmonic writing and powerful grooves, the quartet creates a musical world that is both sensitive and deeply rooted in movement. The compositions strike a balance between carefully crafted forms and a great freedom of interaction, allowing the musicians to move naturally from precise ensemble playing to more spontaneous moments of improvisation. Sensitive, energetic and deeply melodic, Touching the Invisible invites listeners into a musical world shaped by curiosity, imagination and collective momentum.

Petit Singe

Petit Singe is an invitation to travel. Through resolutely modern acoustic jazz infused with electronic touches, the group’s compositions open up a constantly evolving sonic space, somewhere between dreamlike atmospheres and technical precision.

Each piece begins with an individual impulse: a composition brought in by one of the musicians, then collectively reinvented. This process lies at the heart of the project: a creative laboratory where individual voices meet, collide and intertwine to create a shared musical language.

Petit Singe brings together five distinctive musicians from the regional jazz scene. While their backgrounds and musical sensibilities differ, their dialogue creates a free-flowing, ever-evolving repertoire in which improvisation plays an essential role. Music becomes a space for experimentation and freedom, where each musician can interpret, transform and inhabit the sound material. The repertoire finds its coherence in a subtle balance between ambition and accessibility, rigour and imagination. Open and vibrant jazz that gives space to every voice while speaking to every listener.

Jam Session

The jam session will be opened and led by one of the musicians who performed earlier in the evening.
