Petit Singe

Petit Singe is an invitation to embark on a journey. Through resolutely modern acoustic jazz, interwoven with electronic touches, the band’s compositions open up a constantly evolving soundscape, straddling the line between dreamlike quality and technical precision.

Each track is born from an individual impulse: a composition initiated by one of the musicians, then collectively reimagined. This process lies at the heart of the project: a creative laboratory where individual voices meet, rub shoulders and intertwine to give rise to a shared language.

Petit Singe brings together five strong personalities from the regional jazz scene. Whilst their backgrounds and sensibilities differ, their musical dialogue builds a free-flowing, ever-changing repertoire in which improvisation plays an essential role. Music becomes a space for experimentation and freedom, where each member can interpret, transform and inhabit the soundscape. The repertoire finds its coherence in a subtle balance between high standards and accessibility, between rigour and imagination. An open, vibrant jazz that gives space to every voice whilst appealing to all ears.
