Marckus Strickland – Twi-Life

Twi-Life is the quartet project of American saxophonist Marcus Strickland.

Saxophonist Marcus Strickland has been active on the New York jazz scene since the 90s. He began producing his own beats and impressed early on with his rhythmic sensibility. As a saxophonist, beat-maker and composer, he was part of a new generation of jazz musicians who used the interface between jazz and hip hop as the source of their flourishing, creative music.
With his Twi-Life project, Strickland released the album “The Universe’s Wildest Dream” in early 2023. It addresses the desire to become aware of the wonders of life on Earth. An exhilarating conglomeration of eclectic Afro-futurist music, whose breathing urgency only becomes apparent with precise listening.
