Argot Lunaire

Release party! Argot Lunaire celebrates the release of its first album (March 2026) at Le Périscope! The latest project from Anne Quillier, Argot Lunaire is a sextet featuring bassoon, violin, bass clarinet, double bass, piano, and modified drums. It is acoustic music, free lounge rock, daring and melodious improvisational music. It is dense and palpable, fragile yet unbreakable like silk. Like a secret word, like something that wants to be said but cannot be said, complex yet concrete. An imaginary world to escape reality.

This group was created by Anne Quillier as part of her artist residency at La Fraternelle in Saint-Claude and also reflects the pianist’s latest compositions in Hirsute and Les Géants Terrestres.

ImaWa

Nicolas Mary on bassoon and Léo Delay on drums form a duo with raw sounds between the written and the improvised. It’s orange, garnet, olive green, and mustard yellow. It’s a line infused with uncompromising rhythms.

LFantOrq

Pierre Horckmans and Guilhem Meier freely play an accidental trap, a pseudo-hip-hop from another land, in a French that also seems different. A drum kit and a clarinet blowing into oscillators generating bugs, synthesizers granulating freezes, like a sprawling mass of crazy energies laughing at the growing chaos. All this to nod your head and vibrate your eardrums. A future mainstream niche band.
