Meije

Meije is the fruit of a number of improvised encounters, and is based on research into harsh, bewitching sounds and textures.
The universe of this aerial, aquatic and terrestrial trio, dotted with minimalist compositions, paints vast sonic spaces and rough, dreamlike landscapes.

The tracks are constructed like mini-games with multiple, exciting rules, invented as the reunion progresses. The melodies, often simple, are gradually deconstructed, giving way to the freedom of the 3 improvisers, who always end up coming together in a dancing, disjointed fusion.
While the saxophone and guitar move away from the melody, the drums always link them, adding polyrhythms to the groove that are sometimes implicit but always powerful.
