Jozef Dumoulin

Belgian multi-instrumentalist Jozef Dumoulin is often cited for his pioneering work with the Fender Rhodes (the mythical keyboard of the 70s), an instrument he has redefined through a contemporary, eclectic and highly personal artistic field. He was the first to present a solo program with this instrument, captured on the album ‘A Fender Rhodes Solo’, which has gained cult status since its release 10 years ago.

Today he presents a new solo opus entitled ‘This Body, This Life’, released on the Lyon-based Carton records label. This work juxtaposes Rhodes with acoustic piano and synthesizers, as well as rhythm boxes, for a journey that explodes and deepens the previous ones. An excursion into mysterious, original territories, with no open references but connected to a whole field of possibilities.
