Cromorne + Transe Ar Gwez

Cromorne

Formed in 2018 by Nicolas Virey and Kévin Valentin and recently joined by Hugo Parisot, Cromorne is a trio emerging from the Dijon-based musicians’ collective L’Engeance.

Built around a deliberately minimalist setup—hurdy-gurdy, drums, synthesizer and drum machine—the trio creates drone-based, repetitive and haunting music that is at once immersive and noisy. Their sound draws equally from electronic and contemporary music, and from early and traditional musical practices.

Transe Ar Gwez

Composer and DJ Transe Ar Gwez gradually developed a fascination for analogue synthesizers and drum machines through years of encounters and the many live performances hosted by the SÀĆHÔ festival, which he has co-organised since 2015.

Launched with the EP Infravox (Mercredi Records, 2022), the project blends lush analogue synth textures, warped samples, fractured breakbeats and unpredictable effect loops. Influenced by the trance, downtempo and new age sounds of the late 1990s and early 2000s, his live performances unfold through hypnotic drones, broken dub rhythms and melancholic electronica, creating immersive moments of trance that draw listeners in completely.

Following a series of tracks and remixes released on labels including Dôme, Editentités (Roland Becker Reroll), Olga Productions and Tripalium Corp, his debut album, Le Crépuscule des Monstres, was released in March 2026 on Carpaccio Cathédrale.

Le Crépuscule des Monstres is an ode to disintegration, rooted in the darkest pages of time. In the shadows, mycelium spreads, crackles, absorbs and stains the soul. From the shelter of a fragile cocoon, the album invites listeners to emerge from doubt and twist the burning wounds of the present. The groves begin to dance, the forest rumbles. Trance music for uprooted trees—warped samples and immersive sonic layers into which one willingly disappears.
