Cromorne

Cromorne, a trio hailing from the Dijon-based musicians’ collective L’Engeance, was founded in 2018 by Nicolas Virey and Kévin Valentin, and has recently been joined by Hugo Parisot.

Built around a relatively minimalist line-up – hurdy-gurdy, drums, synthesiser and drum machine – the trio presents drone-based music that is repetitive and haunting, immersive and noise-oriented, drawing on both electronic and contemporary music on the one hand, and early and traditional music on the other.
