Emmanuelle Parrenin, Delphine Dora & Mocke

After two albums as a duo—*Le Corps défendant* (Okraïna, 2017) and *L’Invisible est multiforme* (By The Bluest of the Seas, 2022)— Delphine Dora (piano, vocals) and Mocke (guitar) continue their journey together with renewed ambition: to invent a free form, somewhere between spectral song and intuitive music, between composition and improvisation.

The participation of Emmanuelle Parrenin—a leading figure in experimental folk and an unclassifiable musician (hurdy-gurdy, Vosges spinet, harp)—brings an additional dimension to the duo. A singular, embodied presence, a living memory of traditional music, a distinctive voice that anchors the project in history while offering it new poetic avenues.

This trio’s musical project was born from a shared desire to blur the lines. To evoke song without ever adhering to it. To approach tradition by traversing it, making it porous, malleable, open to abstraction, to dreams, and to intuition.

Muon S (Anna Gaïotti et Jean Bender)

Anna Gaïotti and Jean Bender present an experimental performance in which amplified tap dancing and a modular synthesizer engage in a direct, physical, and noise-driven dialogue, blurring the boundaries between movement and sound. Rejecting any hierarchy or one-to-one correspondence between dance and music, they seek an intense fusion in which the body becomes a source of sound and sound extends the movement.

Anna’s strikes, rubs, and slides, captured and then transformed in real time, feed into Jean’s electronic landscapes, which he stretches, fragments, or explodes into noise textures. From this interaction emerges a shared energy, immersive and abrasive, where space and time seem to warp. Their practice, designed to adapt to a variety of venues, from experimental stages to atypical spaces such as basements or abandoned lots, makes each performance an in-situ exploration, attuned to the acoustics and the floor, and open to the unexpected.

Muon S (Anna Gaïotti et Jean Bender)

Amplified tap shoes and a modular synthesizer: Anna Gaïotti and Jean Bender engage in a physical, noise-driven musical dialogue through their instruments and their bodies, blurring the line between what is seen and what is heard. This experimental work—both complementary and frictional, created in situ—seeks to question the presence and physicality of the body in […]
