Wheobe
Release Party
Preferring winding paths to boring straight lines, Wheobe sketches the contours of a universe that resembles them. Their influences come mainly from across the Channel, ranging from Radiohead, Swans, Squid, and Puts Maria.
Purely impressionistic in sound, this band offers us their debut album, “A Strained Ocean,” whose palette draws its colors from powerful, contrasting alternative rock, borrowing from a multitude of influences ranging from jazz to noise. It’s an intense mix, much like their live performances, which don’t hesitate to play with extremes to convey a raw, sincere, and authentic message.
