Alida

Alida, aka singer-songwriter Anne Weggeman, offers an alternative indie folk sound. Her transporting voice explores what lies beneath the surface. Her lyrics evoke unspoilt melancholy from an intimate territory. Her music is inspired by the sensitive worlds of Feist, Laura Marling and Angel Olsen. Originally from the Netherlands, she has lived in Lyon since 2023. In 2021, she released her first single, Slow Motion. Her debut album FAQ was released in spring 2023. She is currently working on her second album.

Trumpet of Consciousness

From Brian Wilson to Thom Yorke via Nick Drake and Wilco, Trumpets of Consciousness’s music is made up of consonances and dissonances with the history of pop songwriting.

Founded in 2015 by Thibauld Labey the band has released three albums (+ an EP in 2024) on the Franco-Genevan label Le Pop Club Records and has performed live in France, Switzerland, Canada, Portugal and Spain.

On stage, the group, which varies in size, is usually made up of 4 musicians (Thibauld Labey: guitar/vocals – Sly Apollinaire: keyboards/backing vocals – Thomas Chignier: drums/backing vocals – Timothée Nicolas). Haunted by the spirit of the mythical Laurel Canyon of the late sixties (The Beach Boys – The Byrds – CSN – Neil Young – etc.), TOC’s music is nonetheless tortured by the synthetic spirit of the new century (and a few other more heretical muses).
