Tepih + Free Improvisation Workshop Performance

Tepih brings together four experienced musicians around an original instrumentation: hurdy-gurdy, electronics, double bass and accordion. Together, they develop a unique electroacoustic approach, at the crossroads of sound experimentation, evocative landscapes and imaginary folklore. Their music draws on rich timbres, unexpected sound materials, open structures and subtle interactions, where collective listening guides the evolution of the pieces.

The project is the result of a collaboration between the Swiss association Bruit and the Slovenian association Zavod Sploh, two organisations that have been committed to supporting experimental music and free improvisation for many years.

• The Tepih concert will be preceded by a performance from the afternoon’s Free Improvisation Workshop.

Tepih’s tour is organised by Le Périscope and Bruit as part of Better Live, a project co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme:
