We Are The New Generation

We Are The New Generation is a musical collective of variable geometry formed around young, precarious exiles from the Lyon area. Hailing from Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Congo, Ghana and Angola, the young musicians meet up regularly for creative residencies. the young musicians meet regularly for creative residencies, accompanied by two professional musicians, Cédric de la Chapelle and Sébastien Finck (or Aymeric Krol). They write and sing about their concerns, their dreams and their lives.

Conceived by the Pour la Suite du Monde association, these residencies are times dedicated to a passion for music, writing and sound. They build community and help to welcome young exiles to the region.
