Roxane Métayer

Roxane Métayer is a French musician and artist based in Brussels. Her visual work evokes flora and fauna through various practices such as sculpture, engraving, drawing and music. Based on her observations and sound and video recordings in the forest, Roxane imitates animals, insects and plants. Her musical project consists of recordings made in nature, violin, wind instruments, percussion and her own voice. Her music has been released on the following labels: Kraak, Morctapes, Primordial Void, Wabi-Sabi tapes, Matière Mémoire and Marionnette Label. Her most recent concerts took place in Japan, where she has toured and been in residence several times. An album will be released on the Belgian label Blickwinckel later this year.
