Remi Laffitte

“I discovered indie music in the early 90s, when I was around 13 or 14 years old. Since then, it has largely become the soundtrack to the rest of my life. This encounter was essential, almost life-saving, like a small rebellion on continuous infusion: recycling old cassettes, organising concerts in sometimes unlikely venues, writing for webzines, running a non-profit label (Atelier Ciseaux) for 10 years, promoting unique bands and festivals such as MOFO and Sonic Protest, hosting strangers, working for the L’International venue and then… Futur Parlé. With this new project, I wanted above all to create a space for discussion around this famous question, which has caused many sleepless nights and resonates with many others.”
