Sonic explorations on the trumpet

Louis Laurain is a trumpet player, improviser and composer, living in Paris. his work lies at the borders of experimental music, electro-acoustics, Jazz, traditional music, visual and performative arts. While developing an original language on his instrument, he seeks, with solo or collaborative projects, an innovative and personal way of playing and thinking about music. He thus collaborates with Eliane Radigue, Stephen O’Malley, Umlaut Big band, Pierre Huyghe, Axel Dorner, Guy One, Xavier Charles,Yves-Noel Génot, John Tilbury, Nicolas Collins, Zombie-Zombie, Chakib Bouzidi, Pierce Warnecke
He performs regularly as a solo with an electro-acoustic device for 3 trumpets. He is a member of the Berlin quartet DIE HOCHSTAPLER, the French Polish group LUMPEKS, the duo TDTNDG and ONCEIM (improvised and experimental music orchestra of 30 people). He has toured in Europe, Asia, Africa, the United States, South America and Russia.
