CATTA

With CATTA, Lyon-based saxophonist Lisa Bertrand brings together five musicians she met at the conservatory to perform her original compositions and arrangements.

Led by the rhythm section of Noël Rhodde on piano, Antoine Fontanel on double bass and Julien Ducruet, the sextet explores a soundscape that blends the timbres of Hélène Cambourian’s bass clarinet, Tom Martel’s trumpet, saxophone and flute.

Inspired by the jazz of Dave Holland, Kenny Wheeler and Carla Bley, CATTA’s music is dreamlike, joyful, introspective and explosive – in short, CATTArtique.
