Anouck Genthon

Based in Geneva, violinist Anouck Genthon has developed a personal language that blends improvisation and composition. Her work pays particular attention to sound, listening, and the potential of her instrument.
Trained as an ethnomusicologist, her playing bears traces of the Tuareg musicians she met in Niger. This immersion gave rise to aẓǝl, a solo project that brings together traditional and experimental music. Her concerts and collaborations (Lionel Marchetti, Le Grand Chahut Collectif, Insub Meta Orchestra, etc.) regularly take her across Europe, the United States, Russia, and Canada.
