WATCHDOG – FABLES – Concert dessiné

For almost seven years, Anne Quillier and Pierre Horckmans have been collaborating with illustrator Benjamin Flao in various forms. Together, they play, dream and rebel through their stories and improvisations.

Fables is a drawn concert, a universe of spontaneous interaction between image and sound, born from the meeting between the musicians of the duo WATCHDOG (Anne Quillier, Pierre Horckmans), who can be found in various groups (Watchdog, Les Géants Terrestres, Hirsute, Saint Sadrill, Le Grand Sbam, Argot Lunaire) and the illustrator Benjamin Flao (The Man Who Planted Trees, The Secret Life of Trees, The Age of Water, etc.).

A gateway between reality and wonder, their new illustrated concert humorously recounts the

ups and downs of a troubled everyday life, while keeping our feet firmly planted in the stars.

Music and drawing merge and transform, becoming matter, light and emotion. Pigments

are integrated into loops and effects pedals, dissonance and saturation mingle with colours, creating an undeniably unique and addictive show.
