Crimi
Crimi is all about soul that oozes out, a certain idea of groove that oozes out, in the manner of raï productions porous with all influences, or sticky New Orleans funk, without erasing the more melancholy passages. Crimi is first and foremost a personal story, the story of a kid growing up in Lyon whose Sicilian grandmother hummed timeless tunes. Saxophonist and singer Julien Lesuisse wanted to fertilise this groove in what he has christened ‘Soul de Sicile’.
At the end of 2024: a new musical path leading to a creation to be unveiled on Wednesday 18 June 2025 at Le Périscope and an LP planned for early 2026 on the Airfono label.
