Caïman

Caïman loves thrills, haunted forests, driving along small roads, telling stories and never settling for the same thing twice. In the dense chorus of his electric guitar, his words weave tender, twilight-tinged, sincere incantations, interwoven with tales of metamorphosis, insurrection and magic. Her music makes the shadows dance, those of an old house laden with memories. It calls upon our ghosts, inviting them to rejoin us for the duration of a concert, without sadness, like an ode to life, sisterhood, and solidarity among all. For, drawing inspiration from invisible worlds, she invites us above all to overturn dominant imaginaries, to cast spells, to join forces, to mix our tears, to face the precipices and to take flight…
Sometimes compared to a Lyon-based Patti Smith who has merged with Marika Hackman or Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins, she has proven herself on a multitude of stages of all sizes, including that of the Musilac festival. Three years after the release of her first album, ‘A la lueur’ (Le Cri du Charbon), she is about to release a new album, a blend of ethereal folk-rock and gothic dreampop, self-produced with the support of her fans. CAÏMAN’s new mantras are vessels, doors between worlds, where dreams and revolts are born.
