Violetazul

VIOLETAZUL features the voice and guitar of Elisa Arciniegas, a Colombian musician, improviser, and producer. Blending tango, Caribbean music, and poetry, she explores the traditional and contemporary repertoires of Latin America, weaving together subtle melodies, complex harmonies, and penetrating rhythms that resonate in the heart, mind, and body.

Her latest album, “Canciones tenues… chansons subtiles,” sets the works of Latin American women poets to music, celebrating a femininity that is both assertive and subtle. Among the poets featured are Alejandra Pizarnik, Dulce María Loynaz, María Mercedes Carranza, Ruiz, and Canfield.
