Kabatééé

Perrine Bourel is the bearer of an almost forgotten fiddle music from the Southern Alps and Dauphiné. Mosin Kawa is the holder of an oral musical tradition that has been passed down for seven generations in his family, originally from Rajasthan (Gokulpura). The genesis of this project was Mosin’s fascination with the violin and Perrine’s with the tabla. Both instruments possess a rich, nuanced palette of sound. They enable a subtle, in-depth exploration of sound: this is where the two musicians dialogue around pieces from their respective repertoires, as well as composed and improvised pieces.

Their work has been heard at festivals such as Chaillol à Météo Mulhouse à (05), Baignade sauvage Albi à Densités (Fresne en Woëvre)…

Created with the support of Espace Culturel de Chaillol scène 2020, conventionnée Art en territoire Hautes Alpes and Cité de la musique de Marseille.
