Fade in Trio

No leader, just three desperate, forward-thinking heads.
In a hyperactive artistic thrust since 2018, Fade In Trio never ceases to subvert musical conventions in the name of their self-imposed chimera: artistic honesty at all costs.
A fundamental mutual trust allows the three distinct identities to meld and blur into an idiosyncratic communal vision, where improvisation becomes the lens for a deep inner inquiry into our functions within a creative community.
The artistic result connects and embodies different musical aesthetics, but also strives to expand the palette of what a piano-less trio can achieve sonically. Fade In plays strictly 100% original compositions written by each member of the band.

The first album “Live Fast, Die a Legend” ironically calls out one of the mottos of our contemporary society; where the myths of fame and productivity alienate people from their behaviors, feelings and thoughts. It is the overload of impulses, the rush of endorphins and the insatiable desire for “more” that guides humanity through addiction and self-destruction.

Tracks like “Tachykinesia” (accelerated movement) and “L’esterofilo” (the xenophile) crudely depict the scenario we live in; where actions precede thoughts and eventually replace them.
On the other hand, “Requiem” and “Get Undressed, Don’t Move” offer the possibility of meditating in an extremely quiet place; where the music blossoms from very fine details and the ego is absorbed into the community. Winners of the Renè Arons International Improvisation Competition (Antwerp, 2019) and the Tomorrow’s Jazz Competition (Venice, 2022).
