POOR BOYS (aka NSDOS x TISS) + DEENA ABDELWAHED + SALMA ROSA
Festival closing party takes place on the dancefloor at Le Sucre, in club format from 11pm to 5am!
POOR BOYS aka NSDOS x TISS (time TBA)
After meeting in New Orleans during their respective residencies at Villa Albertine in 2024, TISS and NSDOS began a musical collaboration that is as natural as it is exciting, under the name Poor Boys.
This atypical duo, made up of a drummer and an electronic music artist, offers a captivating exploration rooted in improvisation, where rhythms shaped by human gesture blend seamlessly with those generated by machines.
The fusion of these two strong musical identities promises hypnotic live performances, moving between jazz, experimental music, and electronic sounds. The name is borrowed from the famous club on Saint Bernard Street in New Orleans, a place they frequented regularly during their time in the city.
Their music is a compelling improvisational exploration, where human-crafted rhythms merge harmoniously with machine-driven ones.
By combining TISS’s organic percussion with NSDOS’s electronic expertise, the duo creates music that transcends boundaries and conventions, clearly reflecting influences from Detroit techno, Afro-Caribbean music, British trends, and Afrobeat.
This collaboration also stands as a vibrant tribute to the heritage, boundless creativity, and musical soul of New Orleans.
DEENA ABDELWAHED (time TBA)
With one foot in experimentation and the other in tradition, DJ and producer Deena Abdelwahed has successfully put the Tunisian scene on the electronic music map.
After starting out in a jazz band and becoming deeply involved in Tunis’s electronic scene, the Tunisian producer and DJ moved to France in 2016. She signed with the Paris-based label InFiné and released two EPs, Klabb (2017) and Dhakar (2020), as well as an album, Khonnar (2018), which was acclaimed by international media such as Pitchfork and The Guardian.
A self-taught artist in search of the sound of the future, Deena builds her sets like research laboratories, balancing on the edge of avant-garde club music. Her cutting-edge hybrid DJ sets—such as her 2017 Sonar performance (ranked in the New York Times festival Top 10)—have brought her to major festivals and demanding club environments (Boiler Room, Concrete, Room For Resistance, Säule / Berghain…).
Rejecting ease and the superficial fame of parts of the club scene, she continues her mission—with determination and integrity—to place Arab music at the heart of the dancefloor.
SALMA ROSA (time TBA)
Originally from Lyon, Salma Rosa—our nights’ sunshine—often takes us on a journey through downtempo, jazz, blues, and ambient sounds, whether through live DJ sets or her Sick Sad World show on LYL.
She is also a member of the 2SIK crew and performs a live project with her collaborator Jonnnah, blending 90s trip-hop influences, where she takes on the role of vocalist.
They recently released a track on a compilation from the Lyon-based label Comic Sans Records—definitely worth checking out.
