Daisy Ray + Zulu + Gil.Barte & Lia Vial

HATCH welcomes Deardogs

3 brand-new concerts, a great invitation to the Paris-region label Deardogs and two of its finest current ambassadors: Daisy Ray and Zulu. Then, a surprise: a major local first, as we will have the pleasure of hosting the very first concert by the duo Gil Barte and Lia Vial!

DEARDOGS

Based in Montreuil, Deardogs is a label with a deliberately eclectic and idiosyncratic approach. Moving across different genres and aesthetics — drawing on electronic, folk, experimental, minimalist or dance influences depending on the season — the label aims to highlight the work of various artists who share a common sensibility and a certain sense of unpredictability.

DAISY RAY

Daisy Ray’s music (the Belgian musician is based in Brussels) joyfully oscillates between whimsical EDM, witty art-pop, and storytelling inspired by her love of nursery rhymes. Often described as both cartoony and cerebral, Daisy delivers live shows infused with a surreal and ironic spirit. After a debut album released on the Heat Crimes label (Shelly, followed by the EP Buddies 4 Life), her latest album Once in a While was released on Deardogs in June 2025. Daisy is also a resident DJ on Kiosk Radio.

ZULU

“With all my scars I can see the light.” If Zulu’s music could be summed up in a single line, it would be these words that open his latest EP, SCAR (2025, Deardogs). A key figure on the underground scene, the Franco-Cameroonian artist carries his introspection into the heart of the club. After two acclaimed early projects (Smart & Loyal, 2022, and Hear the Sound of My Feet, 2023), he continues his visual and musical narrative through a new live show, where electronic production intersects with cloud and mumble rap inflections, as well as trip-hop and experimental pop references. More than a collage of styles, Zulu crafts a cathartic music in which scars become a source of strength.

GIL.BARTE & LIA VIAL

Presentation of the first joint performance by Lia Vial & Gil.Barte, a brand new collaboration born out of an artistic encounter at the Braille Satellite Festival in Lithuania.

Lia Vial is an artist whose live performances explore delicate, minimalist, and solemn sound textures. On stage, she combines vocals, keyboard, and drum machine to create drawn-out, enveloping melodies that paint unique soundscapes, sometimes mysterious, sometimes moving.

Gil.Barte, an artist from the Lyon electronic and experimental scene, has been creating deeply immersive music for several years: his compositions fuse dub, techno, electro-acoustics, and modular sounds in dark, ritualistic, and hypnotic worlds. An artist on the Teenage Ménopause and Big Science labels, among others, he is the founder of KUMP and Meth. O.tapes and host of the Methodrone show on LYL Radio, he constantly explores new sound forms that defy categories and invite sensory experience.

Their project, still in development at the time of writing, promises original music—an experience that is still unpredictable and surprising, the result of the meeting of two sensitive worlds open to exploration.
