Trumpets of Consciousness

From Brian Wilson to Thom Yorke via Nick Drake and Wilco, Trumpets of Consciousness‘s music is made up of consonances and dissonances with the history of pop songwriting.

Founded in 2015 by Thibauld Labey the band has released three albums (+ an EP in 2024) on the Franco-Genevan label Le Pop Club Records and has performed live in France, Switzerland, Canada, Portugal and Spain.

On stage, the group’s variable line-up is usually made up of 4 musicians (Thibauld Labey: guitar/vocals – Sly Apollinaire: keyboards/backing vocals – Thomas Chignier: drums/backing vocals – Timothée Nicolas)

Haunted by the spirit of the legendary Laurel Canyon of the late Sixties (The Beach Boys – The Byrds – CSN – Neil Young – etc.), TOC’s music is never far away. ), TOC’s music is no less tortured by the synthetic spirit of the new century (and a few other more heretical muses).
