Drawing on the conventions of popular music, Mona San captivates audiences by reinterpreting and reinventing the mainstream with an experimental and avant-garde approach, tinged with both gentleness and brutality. The artist offers a perspective on identity that shifts from the extreme feminine to the extreme masculine, using sound effects as extensions of her identity.

Her artistic world unfolds across a myriad of futuristic and maximalist aesthetics, spanning pop, hyperpop, dancehall and electronic music. Inspired by leading figures in the genre (Arca, Sega Bodega, JPEGMAFIA…), Mona San’s music exudes a vibrant energy, in which styles and textures collide to lend each track a unique character.
