Manoir Molle navigates the slippery slope of computer music with Merovingian nonchalance; his compositions might evoke Baroque music played by an AI on Windows 7. We appreciate the gesture all the more as it flows, beautifully into the ears: these acoustic guitar simulations without any showy flourishes, these oboes played by NPCs, these AZERTY harpsichords. No excess in form; the approach is simple and whimsical, the calm is regal, the music is alternate-history.
