Ousia

Ousia is the sound project of visual artist and producer Ilana Winderickx Tabarelli, based in Geneva and co-founder of the electronic music label Lachrymose Rescue. Her live performances are at the intersection of dark ambient, experimental shoegaze, broken drums, and abstract noise. Her music is dark, introspective, cinematic, and empathetic, filtered through the prism of surrealism and mysticism. She composes using samples from various instrumental sources and field recordings, which she sequences and interweaves using her sampler and cassette tape recordings.
