FRANTX + TERRINE
FRANTX
FRANTX is a new Paris-based group that brings together two young improvisers
of French origin (Fanny Meteier, Pierre Pradier) and two of Italian origin (Andrea Silvia
Giordano, Marco Luparia). They explore the limits of their instruments through extended techniques, unorthodox amplification systems, and electronic extensions; always in search of new modes of interaction, construction, and mutual destruction.
Driven by the ghost of noise-punk and mumble trap, immersed in post-internet sonic drifts, FRANTX writes songs in Piemontèis and improvises electro-acoustic collages between a TikTok chain and musique concrète.
FRANTX is preparing his first album through several residencies in 2024/25 for a planned release in 2026 in co-production with Carton Records and Standard In Fi.
TERRINE
A radical artist who is always on the move, TERRINE creates uncompromising electronic music, somewhere between incisive no-techno, surgical noise, and free improvisation, where gesture takes precedence over genre. Claire Gapenne has been performing solo since 2012, shaking up conventions from the industrial scenes of Amiens to clubs and festivals across Europe.
Omnivorous and delightfully offbeat, TERRINE draws inspiration from Coltrane, Shit & Shine, Autechre, and Michel Legrand alike. Their latest album, Jazz Band Theory, recently released on the Bruit Direct Disques label, once again showcases their artistry in movement and contrast: danceable yet unsettling, abstract yet visceral, halfway between industrial minimalism, rhythmic experimentation, and bold noise textures.
Today, he is signed to numerous labels such as No Lagos, Tanzprocesz, Bruit Direct, Bitter Dose, and Third Type Tape, and has played at many venues and festivals such as Instants Chavirés, Cave 12, Cafe Oto, Ateliers Claus, Schiev, UH Fest, LUFF, and more.
